Theresa Ejzak Obituary

Theresa Rembialkowski Ejzak, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, will be deeply missed.

Theresa’s life was filled with warmth, humor, and a generous spirit that shaped generations. Her children and grandchildren will forever recall her unique wisdom: never put shoes on the table (“you’ll get hot feet”), never kill a white spider (“they’re good luck”), always buy Smucker’s natural peanut butter, and when something is lost—ask St. Anthony. These sayings became cherished family traditions, passed down without question.

Born and raised in Lawrenceville, Theresa was the youngest daughter of Josephine and Walter Rembialkowski. In 1956, she married Charles E. Ejzak and moved to Murrysville, where they raised their family. Though she initially felt far from home, she found community at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Theresa was an active volunteer in the school and in the Christian Mothers, later becoming instrumental in both the Franklin Regional Band Boosters and the founding of the Franklin Regional Chorus Boosters.

Theresa loved to explore. If she said, “Come on, let’s go,” you simply went—because wherever she was headed, an adventure awaited. She organized bus trips for the Christian Mothers, taking travelers everywhere from Candy-Rama in the Strip District to Baltimore's Inner Harbor. She delighted in spontaneous outings with family and friends, creating memories that remain vivid and beloved.

A talented crafter, Theresa worked alongside her sisters, friends, daughter, and grandchildren to make decorations, ceramics, and even dish scrubbies. She brought that same energy to the early years of the Murrysville Senior Center, where she played bocce and created elaborate themed tables for anniversary celebrations. Her enthusiasm was contagious; she had a gift for drawing people into projects and making every task feel joyful.

Theresa was proud of her Polish heritage and shared it enthusiastically through her work at Kennywood's Polish Day and with the Polish Nationality Room at Polishfest each November.

Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Children flourished in her care, never wanting to leave her warm and lively home. She was a natural teacher—encouraging little ones to explore, create, and discover the world around them.

She will be remembered for her boundless love, her adventurous spirit, her faith, and the countless ways she brought people together. Theresa’s legacy lives on in her family, her community, and all who were lucky enough to be invited along for one of her unforgettable adventures.

Surviving are her loving children, Charles W. (Lynn) Ejzak, Lawrence D. (Nancy) Ejzak, Daniel J. (Elizabeth) Ejzak and Maria (Stephen) Zarod; Grandchildren, Stephanie, Zachary, Philip, Tyler, Rachel, Julia, Dennis, Emily, John and Stella; Great grandchildren, Elliott, Coleson and Ada. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles E. Ejzak and a devoted son, Kenneth Ejzak.
