Stanley A. "Bucky" Mahinske, Jr.

Stanley A. “Bucky” Mahinske, Jr. age 83 a lifelong resident of Export died unexpectedly at home on Friday, April 29, 2016. He was born March 31, 1933 in Export a son of the late Stanley A. Sr. and Celia (Kapera) Mahinske. He was a retired Postal Carrier for Export Borough and the current President of the St. John the Baptist Society in Export, of which he was a member for more than 60 years.  He was a United States Army Veteran. His favorite pasttime was relaxing at his camp in Brookville. Bucky dedicated his life in service to his hometown of Export, Serving on the Police Force, the Volunteer Fire Department and Borough Council for many consecutive years. Bucky also had the distinction of being the first walking Mailman in Export Borough. He took great pride in his hometown and never missed an opportunity to share its rich history with anyone who asked. In addition to her parents; Bucky was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Marlene (Devan) Mahinske and a Sister Vivian English. Surviving are his loving Children; James (Debbie) Mahinske of Export, Cheryl (Corey) Babbit of Export, Kathy (Dennis) Rusch of FL, Sally Keller of FL, and Joy (Robert) Siegman of Export; cherished Grandchildren Alisha (Robert) Williams of Slatington, Melinda Mahinske of IN, Matthew, Michael, Maegan Babbit, Jackson and Sam Siegman all of Export; precious Great Granddaughter Shyanna Williams of Slatington; devoted Sister, Aileen Sever and Brother, Donald Mahinske. Also survived by many Nieces, Nephews and cherished friends. Friends will be received at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400 Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Faith United Methodist Church, Delmont. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont with Military Honors accorded by the Greensburg V.F.W.
