Robert W. Schlemmer

Robert W. Schlemmer, Sr., age 84 of Export (Washington Twp.), died Thursday, October 9, 2025. He was born June 18, 1941 in Punxatawney, a son of the late Leonard W. and Thelma R. (Corey) Schlemmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Charlene (Zarorsky) Schlemmer and a brother Gary Schlemmer. Bob was a graduate of Clarion College and a member of the Freemasons. He was a retired self employed construction worker, and served as deputy Game Commissioner for south western Pennsylvania, before becoming President of the Pennsylvania Game Commission, where he served on the Board of Directors for many years. Bob was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed spending time at his camp. He was proud to have ventured to the tip of South Africa and spent time in Canada, where he fostered many life long friendships. Bob was a member of the Emmanuel Reformed United Church of Christ (Hill’s Church) in Export and enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his loving children; Robert W. (Judy) Schlemmer, Jr. and Debra Ann “Missy” (Chris) Marin, grandchildren; Helen (James) Vought, Robert W. Schlemmer, III, Dawson Marin and Karleigh Marin, a brother; Dave (Janine) Schlemmer and a great grandchild on the way. Respecting Bob’s wishes, services were private.
