We are very sad to announce the passing of Richard Thomas Hinch age 74 on the 19th of November. Richard passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones and friends. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Colleen Barker, father of Jessica Hinch (Dave), Joseph Hinch (Lyndsie) and grandfather to Leo and Eli Hinch, brother of Debbie West, and 2 nieces Ashley Semuskie (Andrew) and Nicole West. He was preceded in death by his mother Josie Hinch and father Joseph Hinch. Rich loved to golf, and belonged to the Knights of Columbus golf league at Clover Leaf golf course. He lived in the Blackthorne golf community and was well known in the neighborhood for collecting golf balls. He enjoyed giving them away to his fellow golf buddies, friends and even the Delivery drivers. His other joy was his dog Sonny who he loved to walk around the neighborhood. Even though Rich was a man of few words, he always had the right words that brought comfort to anyone who ever spoke to him and lucky enough to get one of his cards. He brought “rich”ness to everyone’s lives he touched. Friends and family are welcome Monday, November 21, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400 where services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Export.
