Nicholas Makrides

Nicholas Makrides age 98 of Delmont, died peacefully on September 11, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Surviving is his beloved wife of 65 years; Angela (Pope) Makrides, 2 loving children, Nicholas (Linda) Makrides of Manassas, VA and Kathy (Jim) Gaffney of Delmont. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. Nick agreed with Genevieve from “Gems from Genevieve”, that “Yesterday is a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and tomorrow a vision of hope”! 2 Cor., Ch., 5, V., 8 “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord”. Respecting Nick’s wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on October 5, 2024 at 11:00 in New Life Presbyterian Church, Remaley Rd., Harrison City.
