Meldine Coulter Nicholas
Meldine Coulter Nicholas, 89, died on June 5th 2015 in Wallingford, Connecticut. She was born August 28th 1925, in Braddock PA. As a devoted wife and mother, she focused on caring for her family. Meldine was a long time Export resident and was very active in St. Mary’s Church, Export where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard, and grandson Christopher Powers, as well as brothers, James and Gerald and sisters, Bernadette, Rose Marie, Armella, Celesta, Yvonette, and Electa.
Meldine is survived by her six children, Mary Jo Besitka and husband Ken of Middlefield, CT, Meldine Brodar and husband David of Lititz, PA, Michele Nicholas of Danbury, CT, Richard Nicholas and wife Nancy of Old Saybrook, CT, Maureen Brodar and husband Kevin of Cleveland Heights, OH, Mark Nicholas and wife Nancy of Export, PA, and 16 grandchildren as well as 6 great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 10th at the Wolfe-Von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., Export (724) 327-1400. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Export at 11:00 a.m. with Father Joseph Bonafed as celebrant. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Export.
