Mary Ann Peretic, 83, of White Oak, PA, peacefully passed into her eternal rest on Thursday, April 2, 2020. She made her journey to Heaven as the song, "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder", played softly at her bedside.
She was born January 17, 1937, in Lawrenceville, PA, the eldest daughter of the late John James (Bim) and Mary (Larkin) Drischler. Even as her dementia progressed, she would recite the names of her 13 siblings in order of age: John (whom she lovingly called Micky), Patricia, Leo, Tommy, Jimmy, Eileen, Joe, Denny, Sue, Paul, Cheryl, Billy and Karen. She was married 55 years to her late husband, Robert T. Peretic.
Mary Ann's devotion to her husband, children and extended family was paramount in her life. Her love for Jesus Christ was evidenced by decades of service to hundreds of children as a Sunday School teacher at the Free Gospel Church of North Braddock. There, she poured out her heart to them in song, Bible stories, crafts, Scripture memorization and continually showed the love of Jesus to hurting children. She always had a kind word to everyone she met and was compelled to tell of Christ's love and sacrifice on the cross for them.
She is survived by her five children, Robert A. (Doreen) Peretic of Irwin, Janet (late husband Daniel) Williams of Greenock, Rev. Thomas I. (Donna Kay) Peretic of Export, Daniel (Darlene K.) Peretic of White Oak and Donna Marie (William) Lewis of Elizabeth Township. She is also survived by her many grandchildren: Nathan (Susan) Peretic, Bethany (Tyler) Sansonetti, Joel (Pamela) Peretic, Danielle Williams (Nick Chasko), James Williams (Mallory Elasabeth Schank), Harry, Angela, Jamie (Cloud) and Lisa Peretic, Daniel (Maria) Peretic, Jr., Joshua M. (Jessica) Peretic, Haley R., Christina N., and Alexa G. Peretic and great grandchildren, Abigail, Nathan, Lydia and Caleb Peretic.
Interment will be officiated by Rev. Thomas Peretic at a graveside service on Monday, April 6, 2020, at 11:00 am at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, 14679 U. S. 30, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
