Mary (Biesuz) Merich

Mary Merich age 97 of Export died Saturday, September 12, 2015. She was born January 5, 1918 in Export a daughter of the late Louis and Maria (Casagrande) Biesuz. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Nick Merich and siblings Eli, John, George Biesuz , Raymond, Aldo, Beano Calder, Della Peters a and Esther Skandera .  Mary was a retired employee of the Former Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Export. Mary was a vivacious and tenacious individual that expressed her love for family and friends through sincere action. Mary only believed in excess when it came to hosting guests at her dinner table. No one ever left her home hungry, as she famously said before every dinner, “Don’t be afraid to eat.” Surviving is her loving children; Renaid (Ray) Almgren of Monroeville and Sanford (Gerianne) Merich of Peters Township; Sister Helen Opsitnick of Export.
