Mary A. Bonati age 100 of Export, died peacefully, May 31, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 17, 1922 in Export, a daughter of the late Angelo and Ida (Misselli) Bortot. Mary was a member of St. John Baptist de La Salle Church in Delmont where she was a former member of the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening with her late husband Albert and liked cooking and baking. Surviving are her loving children; Carol (Lawrence) Amenta of Girard, Marjorie Bonati of Export and Albert (Remy Rodriquez) Bonati, Jr., of North Hills; a sister Josephine “Josie” (late Francis “Spike”) Doyle. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Albert Bonati, Sr., siblings; Elsie (Henry) Remic, Emma (Joe) Havranek and Lou (Dolly) Bortot. Friends and family are welcomed Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Baptist de La Salle Church, Delmont. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family suggests memorial contributions in Mary’s name to St. John Baptist de La Salle Church, 497 Athena Dr., Delmont, PA 15626 or to ProMEDICA Hospice, 3520 Rt. 130, Irwin, PA 15642.
