Martin L. “Marty” Starn, Sr., 87 of White Valley, died peacefully on January 25, 2025, with his loving family at his side. He was born February 11, 1937 in Monroeville to the late William and Caroline (Miller) Starn. Marty was a retired employee of Borden’ Dairy, Otis Spunkmeyer Inc., and in his later years Mannitto Golf Club. Marty was a former member of the White Valley Volunteer Fire Department where he served as assistant Chief and served his country in the National Guard for many years. In addition to his parents, Marty was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lorraine (Rebich) Starn. Surviving are his loving children; Martin “Marty” (Alberta) Starn, Jr., of White Valley and Larry (Peggy) Starn of Bouquet, cherished grandchildren; Kayla (Caleb) Seigh, Matthew (Fiance Emily) Starn, Justin and Josh Dallo, Thomas Pickford, Danielle Hunker, Jennifer Pusak and Misty Jordon, 3 adored great grandchildren; Liam Starn, Wyatt and Waylon Starn and a brother William (Betty) Starn. Friends received Tuesday, January 28 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Wednesday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John Baptist de La Salle Catholic Church, Athena Dr., Delmont. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Export. Marty’s family would like to that the staff at William Penn Care Center for their excellent care.
