Martha "Cookie" (Zerk) Heider

Martha “Cookie” Heider age 83 of Washington, PA formerly of Export, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 2, 1943 in Wilmerding, a  daughter of the late Frank and Martha Zerk. Cookie was a graduate of Franklin Regional High School then went on to Beauty School, she later retired from Troutman’s Department Store. Cookie enjoyed Puzzles, watching movies and rooting for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Survived by her loving family; son Gerald “J.J.” Heider, Jr. and his wife Donna of Washington, PA and daughter, Jennifer Buehler and her husband Jerry of Midway, GA; 3 cherished grandchildren, Madison Heider and her fiancée Nick, Jeffrey Savage and his wife Michelle and Ryan Savage; 2 adored great grandchildren, Camren and Emily Savage & her faithful dog Bruno In addition to her parents; Cookie was preceded in death by a sister, Millicent Brennen and her husband Jack. Friends and family are welcome Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 4-7  p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, PA 15632. where services will be held Wednesday May 20, 2026 at 11a.m. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Mausoleum.
