Marie R. Hopper age 88 of Delmont died Saturday, September 29, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 2, 1929 in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late Daniel and Josephine (Grieco) Nicoletti. Marie was a member of St. Mary Church in Export and was a retired food service employee for the Franklin Regional School District. She enjoyed cooking and crossword puzzles but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by a brother Bill Nicoletti. Surviving is her beloved husband of 70 years; John M. Hopper, Sr.; loving children, John M. Jr. (Pam) Hopper of Murrysville, James (Leslie) Hopper of Cincinnati, Ohio, Joseph (Debbie) Hopper of Murrysville, Daniel (Cindy) Hopper of Harrison City and David (Sonja) Hopper of Petal, Mississippi. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren a brother Joseph Nicoletti and several nieces and nephews. Friends welcome Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Export. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family suggests memorial contributions in Marie’s name to Excela Health Home Hospice 532 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601. Special thanks to Terry the Hospice nurse and Michael Piano who distributed the Eucharist to Marie every Sunday.
