Marian “Dolly” (Anderson) Bortot, age 86, of Delmont died, January 28, 2021, in Forbes Hospital, Monroeville, surrounded by her children. She was born November 28, 1934, in Harrison City, a daughter of the late Clarence Anderson and Zelma (Guyon) Lachie. Dolly was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Church in Delmont where she served as the church secretary for 39 years. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed puzzles, reading, and polka music. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her cherished grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband and polka partner of 51 years Louis F. “Lou” Bortot; a brother, Ronald Dean Anderson; sisters-in-law, Elsie Remic and Emma Havranek. Dolly is survived by her loving children; Craig (Lynne) Bortot of Greensburg, Gregory (Veronica) Bortot of Export and Roanne (Paul) Bush of Bouquet; adored grandchildren, Alexandra (Matthew) Bortot McCrossin, Nicholas Bortot, Breanna (Wesly) Rice, Cassandra Bortot, Zachary Bortot, Mikaela Bortot, and Garrett Smith; a sister Phyllis Frye and 2 sisters-in-law Mary Bonati, Josephine Doyle and her devoted dog, Bella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family welcome Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 in St. John Baptist de la Salle Church, Delmont. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. CDC recommendations must be adhered to.
