Louis W. "Lou" Geiger

Louis W. “Lou” Geiger age 87 of Export passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2024 in UPMC East, Monroeville. He was born January 4, 1937 in Export, a son of the late William and Clara (Remaley) Geiger. Lou was the proprietor of Lou’s Gas Station, car wash and convenience store in Export, He started in business by leasing a gas station for 8 years. In 1971 he built his own station followed by a car wash that he operated by himself for another 50 years. He loved to work and thought of his customers as family. Lou was mild mannered and had a happy go lucky attitude, which endeared him to all. He was a “Car Guy“ who enjoyed NASCAR and Ford Automobiles. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, Lou was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Colonel Vincent Geiger, Edward Geiger, Sr. and a nephew James Geiger. Surviving are his loving nieces and nephews; Kathy (Fred) Shuster of Purcellville, VA, Gwen Weiss of North Huntingdon, Edward Geiger, Jr., twins; Dave and Doug Geiger all of Export and Rob (Lori) Geiger of Sewickley. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Friends and family are welcome Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400 where services will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Emmanuel Church Cemetery (Hill’s Church Cemetery), Export.
