Louis J. "Lou" Gardone

Louis J. “Lou” Gardone, age 89 of Apollo, passed away on May 29, 2025. He was born March 16, 1936 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William and Elizabeth Gardone. Lou was a retired Master Dock Worker in Braddock. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, attending their many sports outings and he looked forward to hunting and rooting for the local sports organizations. In addition to his parents, Lou was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna (Thomas) Gardone; a son, Robert “Bob” Gardone; a daughter, Christina Gardone and 5 brothers and a sister. Surviving are his loving children, Cindy (Charles) Carsey of Verona, James (Joyce) Gardone of Apollo, Carla (Douglas) Custer of Leechburg and daughter in-law, Kathy. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Respecting Lou’s wishes, services will be private.
