Joseph A. Volpe

Joseph A. Volpe of White Oak, formerly of Greensburg died on August 28, 2024, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born September 13, 1937, In Hannastown the son of the late Michael and Mary (Spallone) Volpe. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Geiger) Volpe and a sister Josephine “Chippy” Loughry. Surviving are a son, David Volpe; a sister, Gloria Urbani; and long time friend and dance partner, Connie Zoretich. Joe was an accountant for the former Murrysville Telephone Company and Alltel at the corporate office in Ohio from which he retired. He also was a Pennsylvania licensed real estate agent and was a member of Mary Mother of God Church in White Oak. At Joe’s request there will be no visitation. Burial will take place in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family has entrusted his care to the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., Export.
