Joseph L. Bair, Jr. of Bowie, Md, died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 11, 2015. Born July 17, 1929 in Greensburg, Pa., to Joseph L. Bair, Sr. and Josephine McCann Bair, Joe was a graduate of Greensburg High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He served with the U.S. Army Combat Engineers in Korea and was a systems analyst at Powerex, Inc. in Youngwood, Pa., for 36 years followed by 10 years as a substitute teacher at Patuxent High School in Lusby, Md. Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Ruth Fink Bair, and by daughters Margaret (Peggy) Bair (Aaron Porter), Mary Kathleen Bair Peddigree (Ken), Patricia Bair Meszaros (Joe) and AFS exchange student daughter Kannikar Yantabutr of Bangkok. He was a devoted grandfather to Shane, Mitchell (Karly) and Zakary Meszaros, Christopher Bair, Joseph Monahan and Macha Cauchois and great-granddaughter Mya Sirikana. A sister, Rosalie F. Bair, died in infancy. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday , December 28 at 11:00 in Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Murrysville.
