Joie Leah Gardone, age 35 of Vandergrift, died unexpectedly on January 13, 2023. She was born September 15, 1987 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of William “Bill” and Sarah “Gigi” (Yates) Gardone. Joie was a kind hearted home health care aide who loved animals and plants. In addition to her parents, Joie is survived by her loving son; Russell Libitizer of Plum Borough and siblings; Billy and Alex Gardone. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends and family are welcome Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc. 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400 where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
