John Oslosky, Jr., 88, of Export, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born Oct. 12, 1933, in Export, a son of the late John Sr., and Rose (Kudray) Oslosky. He was a member of the Slickville American Legion and White Valley AMVETS. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean War. John was a jack of all trades and spent most of his life working as a cement mason. He cherished his time with family and greeted everyone with a smile.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Hazel (Woods) Oslosky, two sons: Randy Oslosky and Jon Oslosky, and siblings: Albert Oslosky, Andy Oslosky, Mary Tokarz, Margie Negich, Leonard Oslosky, Henry Oslosky, Irene Muca, Wanda Gressman, George Oslosky and an infant brother Stanley.
Surviving are his three sons, Charles, of Export, Dennis and his wife Carol, of New Alexandria, Richard Oslosky, of Greensburg and daughter in law Delia (Dolly) Oslosky of Penn Township.
He was known as “Pap Old Timer" to his grandchildren, Justin (Ashley) Oslosky, Christopher Oslosky, Nicole (Nick) Braun, Corey Oslosky, Chelsea (DJ) Smith, Tawnya (Tommy) Buczak, Jennifer Melcher, Garrett Oslosky and Jason Oslosky; and great-grandchildren, Sophia, Lincoln and Brody Braun, Elyse and Easton Oslosky, Olivia and Able Smith and Joshua Esch.
John is also survived by a sister, Helen Loughner; a brother, Edward Oslosky, sister-in-laws, Marie Woods, and Margie Ventura as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family welcome from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, 724-327-1400. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Export. Interment will follow with military honors at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family suggests memorial contributions in John’s name to the Murrysville Meals on Wheels, 3202 N. Hills Rd., Murrysville, PA 15668.
