John Carl "Cuppy" Cappa

John C. “Cuppy” Cappa, 86, of White Valley passed away peacefully at home on November 21, 2024, surrounded by his devoted family. He was born February 28, 1938, in White Valley, a son of the late Peter and Edith (Bonati) Cappa.

John was the owner of Cappa’s Beer Distributor in White Valley, which he operated with his wife and family for 56 years, fostering many enduring relationships.

He was an avid golfer and always looked forward to the camaraderie and friendly competition. Watching football games, from the Steelers and colleges to high school teams, was one of his favorite pastimes.

A member of most of the local social and fraternal clubs, he enjoyed afternoon get-togethers with his many friends.

John was most proud of his family and cherished spending time with them. He is survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla (Norris) Cappa; loving children Sandra (Matt) Provenzo of White Valley, Kimberly Cappa (fiancé Michael Greene) of Silverhill, Alabama, and Peter (Lori) Cappa of Export; grandchildren Gino Cappa, Mark Provenzo and Nicolas Provenzo; step grandchildren Shane (Ashley) Barie and Jennifer (Zac) Page; brother James (Millie) Cappa and sister Rosalie Buleca. He also is survived by six step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, from 2-7 p.m. at the Wolf-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Export (everyone please gather at the church).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in John’s name to the White Valley Volunteer Fire Department, 6215 Old William Penn Highway, Export, Pa., 15632.
