Joanne C. (Clement) Zvara

Joanne (Clement) Zvara, 81 of Penn Hills passed away on Monday, October 31st 2022 at home, surrounded by her loving husband, children and grandchildren. She was born April 3rd, 1941 in White Valley, daughter of the late Pete and Irene (Gallucci) Clement. 

Joanne graduated from Franklin Regional high school and was a fiercely devoted mother, grandmother and neighbor. She was integral in raising both her children and grandchildren. She was marveled for her innate versatility and strength. While working for many years, she continued to develop a variety of new talents and skills. But her entrepreneurial spirit and love for fashion, led her to design & sell men’s athletic wear out of her home. However, one of Joanne’s greatest joys in life was evident by her special bond with dogs, namely her son’s Newfoundland, Jasmine. 

Joanne is survived by her husband Perry Heit; her children Jill (John Raso) Zvara-Varkonda, Joseph (Karen) Zvara; grandchildren Michael Varkonda, Megan Heit and Karina Exton; sisters June Kepple and Janet Pfeiffer. Also survived by many adored nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family welcome at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400 on Sunday, November 6th, 2022 from 2-5 p.m., where services will be held Monday, November 7th at 11 a.m. Private Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
