Joanne Marie (Kosheba) Kuchar

Joanne M. Kuchar, age 84, of Export, passed away at her home on Friday, September 1, 2023. She was born April 27, 1939 to the late Alexander “Tony” and Helen (Duritsa) Kosheba. She is survived by her loving children; Donna Kuchar, Linda Kuchar, and Brian (Linda) Kuchar; son-in-law, Herb Silvis; her cherished grandchildren; Joseph Silvis, Brianna Kuchar, and Christian (Rebecca) Kuchar; a brother Adam “Sonny” Kosheba; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joanne is also preceded by her husband, Richard, daughter, Barbara Silvis, and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kosheba. Joanne was a life long member of St. Mary’s Church in Export, and a life member of Murrysville Medic One, where she served as an EMT. She retired from Forbes Hospital, where she worked as a Patient Care Assistant and then went on to work as a cashier at Giant Eagle in Export. She had a love for crochet, crafts, cooking, baking, reading, and enjoyed spending time with her dogs. Friends and family will be received from 1-4 pm and 6-9 pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 of Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, 5701 Lincoln Ave, Export, PA 15632. There will be a funeral mass celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Export on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11am, interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Export.
