James C. "Jim" Ripple

James C. “Jim” Ripple age 79 of Export died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at UPMC East, Monroeville. He was born June 24, 1936 in Greensburg the son of the late James A. and Helen (Berlin) Ripple. Jim was the manager of the Lawyer’s Abstract Company in  Greensburg for 20 years until his retirement. He served honorably in the National Guard and  was a former Export Borough Council member. He enjoyed Boating with his family on the Allegheny river in Kittanning. Jim was a member of Italian American Club, Export, Export Moose, Elks Club and was a life member of Export V.F.D. Surviving is his beloved wife of 57 years Phyllis J. (Sleigh) Ripple; 2 sons, Kenny Ripple of Export and Jay Ripple of Kittanning; a cherished granddaughter Ashley (Stephen) Burns of Front Royal, VA and 2 Great Grandchildren, Daed and Ryker Burns who he adored. Friends welcome at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, (724) 327-1400 Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Marnie Silbert officiating. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
