George Karan age 83 of Delmont died Sunday, August 23, 2015 in William Penn Care Center, Penn Township. He was born June 20, 1932 in Export a son of the late Paul and Sarah (Lapcevic) Karan. George was a retired employee of the former National Aluminum Company and was a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church in Monroeville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Mike Karan and a sister Mildred Karan. Friends received Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400 where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with the very Reverend D.C. Malich officiating. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. Pomen service Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. George will be missed by his care givers Jerry and Maggie Soles and the staff at William Penn Care Center.
