Evelyn E. (Evans) Long

Evelyn E. (Evans) Long age 91 of Export, died Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg. She was born January 31, 1930 in Export, a daughter of the late Adam and Florence Evans. Evelyn graduated as valedictorian of the Export High School class of 1947. She then went on to attend Secretarial school. Evelyn enjoyed volunteering at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Her interests included floral and interior design, baking, playing Bridge, embroidering, animals and she was a superb homemaker. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a brother; Melvin Evans and his wife Sally. Surviving are her loving children; Wesley Long and his wife Patty of Export, Kristie Long McGonigal and her husband John of Greenville; a sister Lois Evans Dick and her husband Jim of Plum Borough. Also survived by 7 cherished grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Respecting Evelyn’s wishes services and interment will be private.
