Evelyn B. (Butcher) Skandera age 80 0f Export died on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2015 in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was born July 12, 1935 in Claridge a daughter of the late Martin and Cecilia (Turk) Butcher. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph C. Skandera, Sr., on October 17, 2015 and 2 Brothers; John and Martin Butcher. Survived by her 4 loving children, Judy (Gary) Liss of Harrison City, Karen Skandera of Export, Joseph (Barrett) Skandera, Jr. of York and Elaine (Jeff) Lopez of Monroeville; 3 cherished Grandchildren, Laurie (Matt) Shipley, Sarah (Dave) Antonucci, Alyssa Lopez and an adored Great Grandson Lucas Antonucci; a Brother Jim Butcher and a Sister Cathy Prince both of Delmont Also many nieces and nephews and cousins. Evelyn was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church for many years. Friends welcome Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Export with Father Joseph Bonafed as celebrant.
