Eugene L. “Gene” Rodgers age 81 of Washington Township died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was born June 14, 1934 in Tulia, Texas a son of the late Clarence and Kathryn (Herring) Rodgers. Gene was a retired Electrical Engineer and was a United States Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved Wife, Shirley (Kelly) Rodgers; a Son, Michael Rodgers; a Grandson and a brother. Surviving are his loving children; Kenneth Rodgers, Kathryn Rodgers and John Rodgers; siblings, Sterling Rodgers, Dan Rogers and Vada Hilgenelfeld. Also survived by2 Grandchildren; 1 Great Granddaughter and several Nieces and Nephews. Respecting Gene’s wishes there will be no visitation or services.
