Esther E. (DiGiAnntonio) Persin age 99 of White Valley Died Monday, January 16, 2017 at William Penn Care Center, Penn Township. She was born January 4, 1918 in Export a daughter of the late James “Vincent”and Julia (DeVinzo) DiGiAnntonio. Esther was a retired cafeteria worker at Franklin Regional School District for 32 years and was a member of St. John de la Salle Church in Delmont. Mrs. Persin enjoyed baking and Polka dancing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tony B. Persin, a grandson Eric Evanko, 3 siblings Emma Nichelporuk, Mary O’Conner and Paul DiGiAnntonio. Surviving are her loving children Karen Bills and her husband Tom of Delmont, James Persin and his wife Paulette of Greensburg and Kathy Evanko and her husband George of Blairsville. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400 Wednesday from 4 -8 p.m. where services will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Export. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Esther’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
