Emily “Caroline” (Heider) Hill age 95 of Export died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at home with her loving family at her side. She was born October 24, 1920 in Murrysville a daughter of the late Walter and Emily C. (Kail) Heider. Caroline was a member of Emmanuel Reformed United Church of Christ (Hills Church) in Export for 74 years. She enjoyed reading, fireworks, traveling around the neighborhood gazing at Christmas lights, taking walks and everything about Elvis. She took tremendous joy out of the simple things in life. Known by her nieces and Nephews as Aunt Mamie, Caroline was preceded in death by her beloved husband Preston G. "Jeff" Hill; 5 Brothers; Christian, Charles "Chuck", Walter, Homer and James "Jim" Heider and 4 Sisters; Evelyn "Sis" Lasitis, Ruth Shaw, Rose "Honey" Marshall and Teresa Merck. Surviving are her loving children; Beverly (Russell) Balest of Greensburg, Jeff (Bobbi Jean) Hill of Export and Mary (Charles) Glendinning of Houston, TX; 7 cherished Grandchildren; Megan Lewis, Caroline Glendinning, Rachel Hill, Coursin Hill, Emily Glendinning, Preston Hill and Jennifer Glendinning; 2 devoted siblings; Joan Zimmerman of Florida, Leon "Bill" (Shirley) Heider of Sykesville and a sister in-law; Anne Heider of Murrysville. Also survived by many Nieces, Nephews. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a service on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Emmanuel Reformed United Church of Christ, Export. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.
