Elizabeth N.“Betty” Walters, age 89 of Delmont, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at her daughters home in Richmond, TX; with her loving family by her side. She was born May 27,1935 in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late Alexander and Marion (Lawson) Milne. Betty began her career at Rockwell International where she retired as an Executive Assistant. After her children were older, she went on to work for Delmont Travel as a travel agent and was proud member of Zonta International, a women’s rights organization, where she served as President of the local chapter. Betty was a member of the Faith Global Methodist Church in Delmont, where she remained very active. Betty enjoyed reading and cheering on her Pittsburgh sports teams. She will be remembered for being a loving and caring; daughter, wife, mother, mother in-law, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband; William Walters, Jr. Surviving are her loving children; Alex (Janice) Walters of Murrysville, Beth Ann (Dwyer) Lynch of Richmond, TX, Richard “Ricky” Walters of Pittsburgh and her cherished grandson, Harmon Lynch. Friends are welcomed on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export. Services will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11 a.m. in Faith Global Methodist Church, 305 Freeport St., Delmont, PA 15626. (Everyone please meet at the church). Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family suggests memorial contributions in Betty’s name to Faith Global Methodist Church at the address indicated above.
