Edward Gerard Byrne, Jr. age 92 of Export, died Friday, May 27, 2022, peacefully at home with his son Andrew by his side. He was born February 9, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY a son of the late Edward G. Sr., and Marie (Hancock) Byrne, Edward graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology then went on to a 34year career with Elliott Company in Jeannette. He was an avid fisherman and handyman. Edward was an active member of St. Barbara Church in Penn Township and a former member of St. Mary Church in Export. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Surviving are his sisters; Arlene Taylor and Joanie Coughlin; his loving children; Irene (Ted) Ohl of Larchmont, NY and Andrew Byrne of Export; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Jeanne (Isaccs) Byrne; a son Edward (Betty) Byrne, III; a daughter Susan Byrne and three sisters; Patsy, Edna, Collette and a brother Peter. Respecting Edwards wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Barbara Church, Harrison City.
