Obituary

Edna “Alverda” Vargesko, 89, of Greensburg formerly of Export, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023. She was born June 7, 1933 in Irwin to the late Clarence and Edna (Hixson) Errett. Alverda is survived by her sons, Edward, Elmer C., and Timothy and his wife Linda, four grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Jane Young. In addition to her parents, Alverda was also preceded in death by her husband Elmer L., daughter Ada Jo Vargesko, and daughter-in-law Sue. Alverda was a former member of Hills Church in Export, National School Bus Services and Women of the Moose, New Kensington, #711. She enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting, especially blankets for her family. Respecting Alverda’s wishes, services and interment were private.
