David S. Kidney, age 85 of Delmont died Sunday, September 11, 2022 in UPMC East with his loving family by his side. He was born May 16, 1937 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late David C. and Virginia F. (Bennett) Kidney. Dave was a retired employee of Westinghouse Airbrake with 42 years of service. He was an avid stamp collector and dealer. He looked forward to traveling and camping and was a founding member of Bounder’s United Camping Club. Dave was a life member of the L.O.O.M. #234 in Export, where he enjoyed league golfing and bowling. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and was very proud of all of them. Surviving is his beloved wife of 60 years Constance “Connie” (Vunovich) Kidney; loving children, Michelle (Albert) Bortak, Surrae Cherepko, Collette March, David M. Kidney (Kevin Waldorf) and Renee Kidney; cherished grandchildren, Benjamin (Cassandra) March, Crystal (Tom) Snyder, Evan Cherepko, Mia Cherepko and Sela Cherepko; adored great grandchildren, Mason and Caden March and Thomas and Lucas Snyder; a devoted brother Chuck Kidney and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David was preceded by a brother John Kidney. Friends and family are welcomed at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400 on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Dr., Delmont, PA 15626.
