Daniel G. Visnic, Jr. age 79 of Export died suddenly on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at his home. He was born September 6, 1935 in Sloan, NY a son of the late Daniel G. Sr. and Martha (Wuslich) Visnic. Dan lived nearly his entire life in Export. Prior to his retirement he worked as a Fleet Manager for State Equipment and was named top salesman for many years, and he was also self employed in the coal strip mining business. He was a long time member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Export and was a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. "Big D" will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, compassionate spirit, and his generosity. His grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life and he lived for their activities and events. He enjoyed traveling, socializing, having fun, and lived life to the fullest. He was always the optimist who had a great faith in the Lord. Surviving is his beloved wife JoAnne (Raymond) Visnic; 2 loving daughters Dana Lyn Visnic and her fiancé Tim Ford of Allison Park and Holly Visnic Pelusi and her husband Jeffery of Export; 3 cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Joshua and Chase Pelusi; brother of Raymond (Bev) Visnic, Kenneth Visnic; sister In-laws Kathy (Raymond) Frechione and Delores Visnic; nieces and nephews, Mark, Chris, Brian, Barry, Hunter Visnic, Sharon Shivetts, and John Michael and Mark Frechione.
In addition to his parents Dan was preceded in death by a brother George D. Visnic. Friends welcome Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, (724) 327-1400 Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Emmanuel LutheranChurch, Export with Rev. Bob Schlotter officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Export. The family suggests memorial contributions in Dan’s name to RASopathies Foundation, 244 Taos Rd., Altadena, CA 91001.
