Clara Jean (John) Yerick

Clara Jean Yerick, age 88 of Murrysville, passed away on October 29, 2024 in Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. She was born October 16, 1936 in Wilkinsburg to the late Aquino and Anna (Royer) John. Surviving are her loving children; Charles “Chuck” Yerick of Export and Cynthia “Cindy” (Eddie) Demovic of Murrysville, 2 cherished granddaughters; Melissa and Michelle Yerick of Murrysville and a brother in-law, Robert “Russian” Yerick of Salem Twp. In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband Charles “Charlie” Yerick and a daughter in-law; Kathleen Yerick. Clara was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville and worked in retail and catering for many years. She enjoyed going to the casino, vacationing with family at Geneva on the Lake, sweets and dogs; especially her dog “Punkin”. Clara was always a people person and would take up conversation with idle strangers wherever she went, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Friends and family are welcomed Friday, November 1, 2024 from 3-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m on Saturday, November 2, 2024 in Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Murrysville. Entombment will follow in Twin Valley Mausoleum, Delmont.
