Carl Bush passed away peacefully earlier this week at age 67 surrounded by his family and friends after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Carl's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to know him understand he lived a life most would not experience in 100 years. Carl was ambitious, dedicated, and passionate in so many aspects of his life. He traveled from coast-to-coast working within the professional racing industry; a passion that started as a child tinkering on cars in the driveway with his older brothers. He made a new friend everywhere he went, or at least came home with a new recipe to try. When Carl wasn’t working, he could usually be found in the kitchen whipping up the most amazing meal you could imagine, watching the Steelers game, or he was out in the woods hunting and fly-fishing. His life was endlessly full of wild and amazing stories which were also a reflection on the deep friendships he created. Carl was a devoted and loving father, brother, partner, grandfather, and friend. There was never an ask too big or small for him and was always there for anyone in need. We will miss him more than words can ever express, but our family finds comfort knowing that in all he shared with others, he can now finally rest in peace. Carl is survived by his loving partner, Patty, his daughter Audrey, son-in-law Joe, grandson Walter, brothers Mark, John, and Frank and countless friends. Carl was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Katie. Friends and family are welcome at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export (724) 327-1400 on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9 a.m. until a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Export.
