Arthur “Art” DeSabatine (DiSabatino) age 99 of Export, went to be with his eternal Savior, on Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was born March 29, 1926 in Export, a son of the late Berardo “Benny” and Louise (Manetta) DiSabatino. Art was a retired coal miner from the Renton Mine. He was a U.S. navy veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of St. Mary Church, Export; a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus, Manordale Valley Council 4226 and was a member of The Export I.A.C.. Art and his wife B.A., brightened the day for many sick friends over the years with their frequent visits and Art was a top notch care giver to B.A. during her later years. In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Madeline “B.A.” (Caralli) DeSabatine in 2020 and 2 siblings; Angelo DeSabatine and Mariana Muko. Surviving are his loving children; Bernard “Bernie” (Deborah) DeSabatine of Delmont and Antonette “Toni’ (Ross) Ferguson of Penn Township; 2 adored grandchildren; Alexis and Vincent DeSabatine. Friends and family are welcome Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home., Inc., 5701 Lincoln Avenue, Export (724) 327-1400. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 in St. Mary Church, Export. Interment will follow with military honors accorded by the Greensburg V.F.W. Post 33 Honor Guard in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family suggests memorial contributions in Art’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 7000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 or to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
