Daniel M. Swank, 79, of Export, PA passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. Dan was born September 2, 1938 in Greensburg to the late Daniel Swank & Stella (Painter) Swank.
He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy “Doe” (Maljak) Swank of 36 years, his children, Susan (Joe) Satira, David Molnar, Danny (Kim) Swank, Edward (Tony) Molnar-Strejcek, Michael (Della) Swank, and Kimberly (Swank) Morrison. He was an adoring “Pap Pap” to many grandchildren and two great children. He is also survived by a sister, Evelyn (Swank) Pennington and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patti Jo (Rogina) Swank, sisters Helen (Swank) Trent, Ethel (Swank) Cochran and Donna (Swank) Kelley.
Dan served in the Army during the Vietnam War, he retired from ABF in 2000, an active member of Emanuel Reformed United Church of Christ ( Hills Church), but most of all, he loved being a Pap Pap. Friends welcome Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave., Export, (724) 327-1400. Funeral services Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Reformed United Church of Christ (Hills Church) Export. (Everyone please meet at the church.) Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
